Hello I'm Casey & I Have Very Red Skin

Ever since I could remember, I have always had very red skin on my face. My cheeks always have this bright red color to them, my nose and forehead do as well. If I am going to be completely honest, it's not my favorite thing in the world. I know this is only natural but sometimes it drives me nuts when I'm not wearing makeup and I look like I'm always blushing. The redness does get covered up by my foundation but there are those days when makeup is just a no for me. I have recently come across two products that I have fallen in love with that have helped tone down the redness, which has given me more confidence to wear less makeup.
If you read my last blog post, then you saw that I recently started using rosewater. I got it originally because I saw how popular it was becoming on IG and it was great for hydrating your skin. I did a little more research and it turns out that it actually can be used as an anti-inflammatory which helps reduce redness! Now imagine how excited I got when I read that!! I have now totally replaced my face moisturizers for rosewater! Right after the shower I spray it on my face and I even read that it can be used as a makeup setter, which can give a great dewy look!

What you must be thinking right now is how much does this stuff cost? Well good news, it's totally affordable. I picked up a bottle of Measurable Difference Rosewater which sells for only $10 at Meijer.
Not only is rosewater great for redskin, I read that it can also help with acne, dermatitis and eczema!

Another product I am currently loving is Cetaphil Redness Relieving Cleaner! It's a foaming face wash that is also meant to help redness-prone skin. It not only is great for skin like mine, but it also smells good which is always a plus (it doesn't have a fragrance in it, it just has a clean smell to it, if that makes sense). It's so light weight and I feel so clean after! My family and I have been using Cetaphil products for a very long time so it's something we can trust. All of the products are so gentle on skin and I highly recommend them for anyone who has sensitive skin!
Although the redness in my skin is something I will always have and I will probably never be able to fully get rid it, it's nice to know that there are products out there that can help tone it down. I have noticed a difference in my skin since I've been using these products. I used to have this random red spot on my nose, no idea what it was, but it has toned down in color a bit which is exciting!
I do want to remind everyone that you need to love the skin you're in! I know I am constantly talking about products that make my skin better or the makeup I love but I only talk about it because I love to try new things. I am not saying that having red skin is bad, it's natural and it will always be apart of me, but if there are products out there that can slightly tone down the color, I will try them! That's just me! Plus, these products I mentioned are really beneficial for your skin anyway, so why not try them! :)
