What's in my makeup bag!

When it comes to my everyday makeup look I much rather have a natural look than anything. I believe less is more when it comes to doing your makeup. I tend to gravitate more towards a natural eyeshadow, something that has brown, tan or light gold in it. When it comes to my foundation, this is where I have struggled a bit over the past few winter months. As the snow keeps falling and my skin keeps getting even more pale, I just can't seem to find the right foundation that doesn't make me look like an oompa loompa! Although, recently I have found something that will do the trick until the weather warms up! As for contouring, I used to do a light contour with a bronzer, daily until I realized that I I'm not the best at blending and I would sometimes end up with a large brown streak on my cheek and not even notice until hours later..... LOL. So lately my go-to for my cheeks is simply a light pink blush. I find this so much easier and gives my face a little extra something! When it comes to my eyeliner, this is a must-have for me! I love a simple cat-eye that is not too much but will also make my eyes really stand out! I will say, the brand of mascara I use is the least important to me. I have very short eyelashes so I have tried many mascaras that claim they will give me volume, but I honestly never see a huge difference. Don't get me wrong, some mascara's are better than others and they do give my eyelashes life, but it's nothing too special! When filling in my eyebrows, I always tell myself, "Why was there ever a time that I never did this?!" I think filling in eyebrows, even just slightly, will really shape them up and give a great finishing touch! I don't go the extreme with my eyebrows, just a little darkening and shaping to give them some life!

First, I always like to start with a primer! I have tried a lot of primers in the past and there hasn't been one that I have disliked! Right now I'm all about the dewy look! I recently just pick up Wet N Wild's Photo Focus Face Primer, Dewy Lumineux. I have the say, this stuff is great! I have used spray primers in the past but I love that this is like a lotion based primer, which makes it easy to apply to all areas of your face!

Next is foundation. Like I said before, I struggle to find something that won't make me orange in these long pale, winter months! What I am currently loving for a foundation is Loreal True Match Lumi in the shade porcelain light ivory, W1-2 Warm. I love how smooth it applies to my face and that match to my skin-tone is almost perfect. This doesn't leave me looking like I only tan my face. The best part about it, is it has a 20 SPF sunscreen! #protectyourskin !

Moving on to my eyebrows. I like to wait for my foundation to settle and dry before adding more to my face so I focus on my eyes during this time. For my eyebrows, I absolutely love Loreal's Brow Stylist Frame & Set in the shade Warm Brunette 214. This is a gel-based eyebrow filler which I love. It's so easy to apply and even comes with a brush that has been great!

Next I focus on my eyeliner. This I feel takes up the most of my time but it's something I do almost every time I apply makeup because I love the finish look to it! For about a year now, I keep going back to my favorite eyeliner which is Maybelline Lash Stiletto in the blackest black p500. This is a light eyeliner with a felt tip and it works amazingly! I feel like when people hear the words,"liquid eyeliner" they freak out because it can be difficult to use. But I find Lash Stiletto to be so easy to apply with the felt tip and when I do make a mistake (which happens every time), a Q-Tip is your best friend!

Mascara is the finishing touch to any eye makeup. What I am currently loving is Almay One Coat Mega Volume Blackest Black 010. This mascara does the trick of giving my eyelash life. I don't focus too much on my eyelashes for my everyday look. Just a few coats to make them come to life and I'm good!

Ok, now that my eyes are looking great, it's time to refocus on my face. I love a pink blush that isn't too crazy but gives me a pop of color to my cheeks over my foundation. I have tried so many blushes and this one blush I'm currently using is by far the best. I am using Physicians Formula Powder Palette in the shade Blushing Berry! It's a multi-colored blush which I love because it blends together so nicely! When applying my blush, I don't want to go too crazy on the pop of color, so I like to do light strokes to make it look more natural.

I am a lover of highlighters! Although, what I'm currently using isn't technically a highlighter at all, but I believe makeup can be universal so why not use this as a highlighter! I absolutely love, love, love Loreal's True Match Lumi Glotion in the shade Fair Glow 901! Its main purpose is to be used as a natural glow enhancer, which is to be applied alone or under makeup. I, however, use it as a highlighter! It's so easy to apply and gives me such a nice glow on my upper cheeks! I just apply a small dot to my finger and blend away!

For the finishing touch, I really like to apply a good makeup setter. As someone who touches their face a lot, naps a lot, and even on a hot day sweats a lot, I always want to make sure my makeup is staying in place! For my setting spray, I have been using NYX Dew Finish. I really like the dewy look it gives me and I noticed that at the end of the day, my makeup is still staying strong!

I hope you all enjoy this "What's in my makeup bag" post! These products are all drugstore products and very affordable! Go out and try them today! :)
